Vieste, Isola del Faro
I am just testing, as I am having problems with my text!
I hope you like this painting
Not as nice as the cakes I had to delete
and the lovely comment from Helen, though!
I will post my pettole recipe again, tomorrow!
SORRY!
ANNA
Hi Anna, manically busy preparing for fair but had to say a quick 'hello' and send lots of love and thanks for your lovely messages. Wish you were closer to wiltshire tomorrow. It would be such fun to see you at the fair. Jane xx
ReplyDeleteLove the painting, Anna! Although not as nice as the cakes... ;o) I am curious to read about your pettole recipe... I cannot imagine what it is! I am so glad that you are back! Christa

Hi Jane! Make sure you enjoy the day, tomorrow, and that you sell plenty of "bits!" If I were nearer to Wiltshire, I would come to see you be a "booklady!"
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming to say hi!

Christa. I had posted the recipe, then I decided to change something and the whole thing went crazy! Helen had posted a comment, and that went, as well... I will post it againm hoping I don't have problems.
ReplyDeleteSo... you prefer food to art? Joking, of course! The big "pettole" secret will soon be revealed, I hope!
BUONA NOTTE!

Hi Val!
ReplyDeleteThis is something I painted a while ago. I ilke the flowers, too... very bright!
I promise I will post my recipe. Like I said, we'll have to see if it works.
BUONA DOMENICA ANCHE A TE!
ANNA
I do like the painting Anna, I was going to ask if you had painted it, but I see you have. Well done you talented lady, another string to your bow! Love Linda x
ReplyDeleteStupenda Vieste!!! E la calda ospitalità della sua gente!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, Linda, I painted it and I also painted other stuff. I love drawing, too, especially with willow charcoal. I am good at drawing people and landscapes.
ReplyDeleteI like all kinds of creative activities, but don't have enough time to persevere. I'm hoping that in the near future I will paint more. My husband might be able to teach me a few things! He is very proud of everything I do!

Your painting is beautiful Anna, I am delighted you decided to share it here with us, hope you will share more in the future.
ReplyDeleteI have painted more, Lindy. I love painting and drawing. Maybe one day I will show you my CACTUS painting. It's so beautiful, my husband made it into a stamp!

Anna - Yes you are right she must have a cleaner - it all looks very clean and tidy. I guess it was just for the photos. You know I think she has that air of Martha Stewart but I like it. In my house it looks much different... well I am living with three men and the cleaner is... well, guess who...
ReplyDeleteI am worried now about the parcel. I cannot believe that it has not arrived so far. I'll go to the post office tomorrow. Unfortunately I did not register it but I have sent parcels to the UK before and they all arrived. I hope you do not think that I never sent it off... I'll send another one! Promised is promised! BTW: Keep on joking - humor is good for everything in life!
Dear Christa,
ReplyDeletePlease, please don't worry about the parcel. Actually, the Postlady tried to deliver a packet here, today, and I was out. Tomorrow I'll go to the Post Office and collect it. It might be the one you sent me! I will email you, whatever.
Christa, I won't knock that house down. It's just that probably some American photographers don't really know what a real farmhouse in the country is supposed to look like like, do they?
If they came here for a photoshoot I'd be sure to take them to see my friend Emily's house (they are farmers)
The illusion was beautiful, wasn't it? And those white lilies (for Christmas... I'll do it!) were just an inspiration!
Buona notte, my friend...
ANNA
Ciao bella Anna, yes I have a German background and I am glad that you like my wreath. I have read your comment just now in the middle of the night and it makes me happy! I am very much looking forward to your new recipe! I hope I have everything in the house to copy it! Christmas is coming really close now. I do not want to have too many things on my mind. I just would like to enjoy each day and breath in the air of that magic time. But there is so much at work - I do not know whether I'll manage. Well, one step after the other, isn't it? Ciao e buona notte! Christa
ReplyDeleteI love your wreath, Christa, and I went out this morning, Christmas shopping, and looked for one that could be suitable. I'm going to a really nice, big garden centre, tomorrow, to look for one.
ReplyDeleteToday, I bought a little black dress to wear at Christmas and a few "bits!"
I am now looking forward to Christmas, too. My husband and I will go to our favourite pub (a big pub/restaurant, very, very nice!) by the river, during the holidays. You can sit by the fire, by the windows and watch the boats and the swans go by. It's a beautiful place which dates back to 1790.
My husband is very particular when it comes to food (only likes mine!) and is choosey when it comes to eating out. Food at this place is excellent, but we never buy Italian outside of Italy. I once had pasta at "La Villa" in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and I wish I hadn't. The waiter told me never to have pasta, there (after I had ordered it!) "Maybe pizza" he said! (But I'm not a nassive pizza eater!) So... I just cook and eat my own or I eat pasta in Italian restaurants, in Italy!
Anyway... relax, dear Christa! You can do it!
CIAO A TE!
