More Favourite things!

Yes! Friggitelli, or friarelli as they care called in Cilento, in the Campania region of Italy, I absolutely adore! Fresh, firm friggitelli, tiny little green peppers, emeralds of the vegetable world, just fried in hot olive until almost burnt. Add chopped plum or cherry tomatoes, love and basil, fresh from the garden (bet you didn't know love was a vegetable!) and inhale... WOW! Has to be the simplest, most delicious dish on Earth! Who needs Foie Gras, eh? Look at the fresh basil from my garden. If I close my eyes (I close my eyes a lot!) I can smell the freshly watered leaves at night, in the shadow of my oldest olive tree. Just beautiful!
